• Account & profile: name, email address, phone number (optional), ZIP code, and the appliances/filters you add — used to run reminders and personalize your dashboard.
• Authentication: if you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name and email from that provider; if you use a phone number, we verify it by SMS code. We never see or store your passwords.
• Payments: Premium subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer identifier — we never receive or store your card details.
• Usage & analytics: with your consent, Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate region). See our Cookie Policy.
• Technical data: IP address and user agent, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.

• To provide reminders and the dashboard — performance of a contract.
• To send transactional emails/SMS you request — performance of a contract.
• To process subscriptions — performance of a contract.
• Analytics and product improvement — your consent (withdrawable anytime).
• Security, fraud/abuse prevention, and legal compliance — legitimate interests / legal obligation.

We use essential cookies to run the site (sessions, security) and, only with your consent, analytics cookies (Google Analytics). We never sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers (processors) that help us run the Service:

• Resend — email delivery
• Twilio — SMS delivery/verification
• Stripe — subscription payments
• Cloudflare — hosting, security, and bot protection
• Google Analytics — usage analytics (with consent)
• Neon — database hosting

Affiliate retailers (e.g. Amazon) receive only anonymized, aggregated click data for commission reporting — never your personal profile.

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account (Settings → Delete account), we remove your personal data promptly, except where we must retain limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Depending on where you live (including the EU/UK under GDPR and California under the CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing; data portability; withdraw consent; and, for California residents, opt out of “sale/sharing” (we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Exercise any right by emailing privacy@myfilteralert.com or, for deletion, using Settings → Delete account. EU/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We protect data with encryption in transit, passwordless authentication, hashed admin credentials, optional two-factor authentication for staff, rate-limiting, and bot protection. No method is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
